GLOVERSVILLE, NY – For years, Diane DeCosta has had one wish; to ride in a helicopter. When an illness interrupted her life and she eventually moved into the Nancy Dowd Hospice Home on Steele Ave. in Gloversville, Diane assumed that wish would be out of the question. However, when the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice learned of her dream, they began working to try to accomplish it.
With deep gratitude toward the generous support of pilots, Mark and Dave Murphy; Diane soared high above the clouds this past week and was able to cross one more thing off of her list.
A community based, not-for-profit agency founded in 1987 and located at 108 Steele Avenue in Gloversville; Mountain Valley Hospice seeks to make hospice care available to all appropriate patients and families in Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery and Saratoga Counties.
