The Johnstown Hospital Foundation recently presented Mountain Valley Hospice with a grant in the amount of $20,000. This donation will help with creation of an MVH Palliative Care program for our region. Palliative Care is a national strategy to keep patients out of the hospital and emergency rooms, unless they are truly in crisis.  It includes all the interdisciplinary care options that come with Hospice but eliminates the need for 6-month prognosis and allows for the best of both healthcare worlds! This award represents the third largest contribution to Mountain Valley Hospice since the foundation began giving grants to the organization in 1993. Since 1993, the Johnstown Hospital Foundation has given over $300,000 for important medical support in our community.  Pictured from the left are: MVH Foundation Board Chair Clayton Sitterly, MVH Board Chair Amy Karas, Johnstown Hospital Foundation Chair Joseph Salamack, MVH President/CEO Kara Travis, and MVH Foundation Board Member Jeff Brown.

The mission of Mountain Valley Hospice is to enhance the lives of those we serve by supporting what matters most to them. Mountain Valley Hospice supports patients and families in the Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga and Hamilton Counties of New York State.
