Hospice to Host Annual Event
Gloversville, NY — Mountain Valley Hospice has announced the details for their Twenty-eighth Annual Appreciation Celebration which will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Lexington Paul Nigra Center on Route 30 in Gloversville. The event is being sponsored by Lisa Queeney, CFP Wells Fargo Advisors LLC and the children of Nancy Dowd.
The public is welcome to join us as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Nancy Dowd Hospice Home, honor our staff and volunteers and present the annual Gregory R. Hoye Award, the Community Partnership Award to Jeanne Wilkinson and the Excellence Award posthumously to Nancy Buyce. The nominees for the Annual Hoye award are: Anita Allen of Community Health Center; Ashley Duross of St Mary’s Healthcare Cancer Center; Debra Henry of Nathan Littauer Hospital; Tammy Merendo of the Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home; Melissa Stock of St Mary’s Healthcare; Victor Giulianelli of St. Mary’s Healthcare; Stephanie Hathaway, Julie Douglas, and Amanda Hershey of NYOH; Lynn Pawloski of Adirondack Stretcher and Ambulette; Dr. James Vacek and Dr. Michael Schwartzman. The Master of Ceremonies will be Richard C Giardino.
The event will begin at 6:00 with the awards presentation to be held at 8:00 pm and music and dancing to follow. Tickets are $40 and patron tickets are $50. Sponsorships are available for $150.
