Mountain Valley Hospice is privileged to provide service to patients and families with dignity, compassion for those struggling with life-limiting illnesses. We are so very fortunate to live in a community with people eager and willing to support the agency in many ways.
Most recently, Gina Tollner of G&R Trends International at 211 N. Perry St. in Johnstown hosted a fashion show and partnered with Amy Karas of Peg’s Boutique at Ruby & Quiri to benefit Mountain Valley Hospice.
We certainly appreciate the donations of time, gift baskets and cash from the following: Ruby & Quiri, Bruce Wendell/Emerald Cinemas & Johnstown Movieplex, Johnstown Auto Zone, Johnstown NAPA, Hair Station Five, The Dollhouse, Randy Zidich/Johnstown Pizza Hut, Applebee’s, Verizon Wireless Johnstown, Sharon Nare Massage Therapy, Grandma Millie’s Bakery, Amsterdam Price Chopper, Gloversville Price Chopper, Mavis Stanley, Ann Marie Carpenter, Gloversville Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, DeMi’s Liquors, TJ’s Discount Beverage, Spirits of the Adirondacks, Total Tan, Dr. Philomena Kong, Marilyn Betz, Don Kennedy and Fred and Marie Gilbert.
Volunteers included Renee Gancarz, Rebecca Hadcock, Makayla Gray, Sara Gray, Ron Tollner, Carole Santella and Kevin Edwards. Bill Trojan was on hand to photograph the red carpet moments.
Models for the evening were Shirell Gray, Amy Karas, Jamie Precopia, Anastacia Baldwin, Alyssa Hadcock, Jordan Vose, Jessica Pirozzi and Cassandra King.
A community-based, not-for-profit agency founded in 1988, Mountain Valley Hospice seeks to make hospice care available to all appropriate patients and families in Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery and Saratoga counties regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation or ability to pay. We provide care in your home, our Nancy Dowd Hospice Home, nursing homes and hospitals.
In providing care to people with life-limiting illnesses, the goal of hospice is to alleviate symptoms – physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, and social – enabling patients and families to concentrate on living as comfortably and fully as possible. Patient-centered care allows control to remain with the patient and those supporting them. Mountain Valley Hospice provides care that is palliative, holistic and supportive. Your support helps us provide this care to families in our four-county region.
Thank you all; Gina’s efforts raised $2,000.
We look forward to the second annual event.
