Mountain Valley Hospice Names Cynthia Gates-Truax Marketing & Development Director
GLOVERSVILLE, NY – Mountain Valley Hospice announced they have appointed Cynthia Gates-Truax as their new Marketing and Development Director. Truax is a familiar face to Mountain Valley Hospice and was formerly their Marketing and Development Director from 2009-2013. She resigned in 2013 to run a capital campaign for another non-profit organization. Truax will oversee all facets of MVH’s public relations, marketing, community awareness programs and events.
CEO, Susan Frasier states: “We are thrilled to have Cyndie back on our team. Her expertise in her field, knowledge of non-profits and keen relational skills are an incredible asset to MVH.”

Mountain Valley Hospice is confident that the hiring of Truax will allow their organization to better serve its patients and their families through heightened community awareness, increased public relations, and improved community involvement.
Prior to MVH, Truax has also served as the Marketing Director for Change of 1 Ministry in Gloversville, NY; Christian Adoption Services in Charlotte, NC and the Charlotte Eagles Professional Soccer Organization in Charlotte, NC.
A community based, not-for-profit agency founded in 1988 and located at 108 Steele Avenue in Gloversville; Mountain Valley Hospice seeks to make hospice care available to all appropriate patients and families in Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery and Saratoga Counties.
